Hey all, I'm having issues with a dual homed DC (yes, I know it's not a good idea). I have a lab where I need to image headless servers with WDS. Since I have to force the image down with no user intervention, I separated out the networks with a dual homed server.
DC has DHCP and WDS bound to the NIC we shall call imaging which is mostly working.
The other connect we shall call lab seems to be working fine.
The client come up, get IP's, and start imaging without issue, but they fail in the end because they can't join the domain. I have placed a sniffer on the DC and see the CLDAP requests coming in and the DC is responding with three machine names. The first in the list is itself. The client fails to join stating that there are no domain servers available.
The client can ping the DC and nslookup resolves the name as well. It seems as if the DC isn't actually responding with any AD information. All DNS records seem to be correct on the DC as well.
Any thoughts?
