Dsquery computer -name returns empty

Hi,
I've run into a problem that I can't solve.

Recently, we replaced a few computers with new ones and had to rename them as the older ones.
When signing in, a couple users would get:
"The security database on the server does not have a computer account for this workstation trust relationship."

I removed the computer from the domain and its name from AD before adding the new computer with that name to the domain.

When I added the new computer with that name, it would work fine for a bit but the same thing would occur again and the computer name doesn't appear in AD.
I ended up renaming the machine and that works.

On a second computer (a laptop), LPT01, the domain network was showing as unauthenticated. From researching, I read that rejoining it to the domain would work and it did.
However, I encoountered the same issue as mentioned before. I renamed the machine to a LPT02 and it worked fine. I decided to try to see if I could get anywhere with the problem so I put it back as LPT01. It has been working normal since. However, LPT01 isn't appearing in the AD.
I've  been stumped since.

I've ran dsquery computer -name lpt01 which returns blank and that isn't supposed to be.

Any help would be appreciated.

Server is Windows Server 2008 R2; Clients are Windows 7 Pro.

Thanks,
Mitka
