We currently have a site covering a large geographical area with one domain controller. I would like to break down that site into a few smaller sites, but would be unable to put a domain controller at each one of those smaller sites. The main reason I want to do that is to better define group policy at the site level (to run logon scripts to map printers and drives specific to those smaller sites).
I'm wondering if it would be wise to create those smaller sites and associate them all with the same domain controller. I know it's possible to do (did it in a test environment), it would help us out in defining our site policies, but I'm worried it would screw up our replication traffic somehow. Below is an abstract on what we are thinking about doing.
