HI all,

There is similar posts as my issue, but I want to post this question to  clear out my doubt!!

environment explanation:-

Active directory Domain environment is 2003. inluding Exchange 2007, File server, Print server and Blackberry Servers etc.

we had 2 domain controllers. primary- (FSMO / DNS/DHCP) and additional domain controller (dns).

We had Primary DC hardware failure (power supply)and unfortunately faulty hardware replacements usually take 1  to 2 weeks to arrive. without Primary DC exchange services did not start.  also its start give lots of issue including user log in and file share access etc.

Since Primary DC was handling all the Roles, I made additional DC as Global catalog and tried to resolve user issue's but no luck. finally we had seizing FSMO to additional domain controller and its resolve all critical issue's. but it  was not smooth network as before as its giving log in errors time to time.

now we have hardware replacement and Previous Primary DC is ready to start. but Im in confusion because we had seize roles but old dc doesn't know those changes.

how can I return the network as it was before DC went down. current DC is not healthy (Additional DC) and its better OLd  DC to be my primary DC and remove all roles assign  to current one/

Hope you all understand my issue and appreciate your value input.

Thanks
