I have an AD LDS instance running on a server as part of a workgroup. For testing I need a person object and I need to be able to bind and therefore need to set the userPassword. I can successfully add a person. But if I try to set the userPassword attribute, I get "error x207d attempt to modify an object to include an attribute that is no legal for its class"......so How do I fix that? It appears as an attribute that is not set. I tried putting password in using hex format, but that does not help.
Bear in mind, I am just testing our software to insure that it can bind to AD LDS and do a search on the persons. This instance is not for production so I am just looking to get a simple testcase going.
