Hello,
Firstly, thank you in advance for all the readers who are taking their time to assist all of us with our dilemmas.
I have a website hosted on Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise, which sits on one of my domains, D2. Via a service (not IIS), the website (portal) is hosting access for a database application called Qlikview. The authentication is working properly when it comes to users in domain D2 logging into the web portal and authenticating via NTLM.
Since then, I have created a two-way trust between domains D1 & D2. I have confirmed that the trusts are cooperating with each other, despite some ADCs being 2003 and 2008 AD controllers. I can easily RDP from D1\username to any D2 devices.
My issue is that I cannot access this website using the domain D1\username authenticaiton. It continues to reject the d1\username authentication, even though it is correctly configured. (ex: d2\username works fine through AD authentication)
Here's the loophole that I hope will result in identifying the issue. If I create an RDP session from domain D1\username into this server, SQL, on D2, I authenticate with no issues and I am on the desktop. While there is an existing RDP session from D1\username to SQL server on D2, if I were to go to the website and authenticate with my D1\username credentials, I am in with no issues.
Thank you again in advance, and if I need to supply any additional information, please let me know and I will do my best to respond promptly.
