Been trying to figure out what is going on. Completely vanilla install of 2012 ad ds on two servers. The second server fails DFSRevent in dcdiag. The first dc with all the fmso rolls passes, but warns about errors in the past 24 hours. When I reboot the two servers it lists events 5002 and 5014 errors.
I did the following tests on each server.
dfsrdiag pollad /member:servername from each. Both operations succeed. In fact after the initial reboots it does not log any dfsr events past about the 1-2 minute point of the server booting.
I am currently reading a book which was talking about dcdiag and uses to find problems. I noticed DFSRevent failed on a plain install. I'm trying to figure out if it shows failed because there were events in the past 24 hours? Maybe a certain number of them? From what I can tell my replication it is working fine. Doing repadmin /replsummary shows that it recently replicated with 0 errors, and repadmin /showrepl reveals all 5 succesful.
What would be the cause of this?
