Is it bad practise for a DC to have 2 NICs?

Hi,

My domain controllers have two NICs. One is for the internal NIC, the other for the external NIC. If I understand correctly, this is a multi-homed DC. Is it advisable to keep just one NIC? (which would be the private NIC).
