I'm setting up a new domain soon and since most of my experience was with older systems (XP and 2003 Server,), I need to ask a few questions about this matter.
I'm going to set up my domain controller on a virtual machine that will run Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard or Data Center edition (still haven't decided which one to take, but that's another matter). The thing is, client machines that I'm going to add to this new domain are going to be Windows 7 and XP, some 64-bit and some 32-bit.
What I'd like to know before I do this all is:
1. Does 2008 Server support XP clients?
2. Does it matter if the OS is 64-bit or 32-bit (This regards both 7 and XP)?
3. Any known compatibility issues between 2008 Server and XP?
