Hi guys,
Can someone help me better under AD Sites and Services?
Basically I have the below structure. Parent domain and 2 child domains which are all based at one physical site.
HQ
DomainA.co.uk
DomainB.DomainA.co.uk
DomainC.DomainA.co.uk
Site B
DomainB.DomainA.co.uk
Site C
DomainB.DomainA.co.uk
So basically we have a HQ that has a root domain, and two child domains. We then have 2 remote sites which are part of an existing child domain.
The below shows the DCs for the Root, and two child domains which are all listed under one Site in Sites and Services. (it also includes another site that can be ignored in the red square)
The arrows indicate each DC's NTDS Settings which are auto generated.
The connectors in the middle is because Visio is rubbish :). Shouldn't there be connections back and forth on all servers? And should these domains also be separated into different Sites even though they are physically in the same building?
Cheers,
Andy
