a few duplicate SPN questions

Hi all,

Sorry to write in on what is clearly a routinely covered topic but I didn't see anything that covered my specific questions.  They are:

Issue one:

  • HOST/fileserver2.blah.com is registered on these accounts:
    • CN=fileserver2\0ACNF:ad16a9b9-97e5-4d04-8c86-5c27ccedace3,CN=Computers,DC=blah,DC=com
    • CN=fileserver2,CN=Computers,DC=blah,DC=com

Why does the first entry have a \ and then what looks to be a GUID?  How can I figure out which is in use for the service HOST (I know how to do this for services listed in the services console, but not for HOST)?

Issue two:

  • {14E52635-0A95-4a5c-BDB1-E0D0C703B6C8}/blahbackupserver.blah.com is registered on these accounts:
    • CN=BLAHBACKUPSERVER,OU=Servers,OU=Computers (OU),DC=blah,DC=com
    • CN=AdminBlah,OU=Virtual Users,DC=blah,DC=com

Similarly, why is this service showing up as a GUID?  Does it mean it's been uninstalled?  How can I find out?  If it's been uninstalled and the GUID reflects a remnant of the service, can I just delete both SPNs?

And finally, issue three:

  • MSOMSdkSvc/Blah-ITADMIN is registered on these accounts:
    • CN=Blah-ITADMIN,OU=Servers,OU=Computers (OU),DC=blah,DC=com
    • CN=AdminBlah,OU=Virtual Users,DC=blah,DC=com

This is related to System Center installation that has since been uninstalled.  Again, given service is no longer running in our environment, I'm assuming it's safe to delete both SPNs.  Please confirm.
