Revert Folder Redirection Woes

Hello!

I've seen several methods to undo folder redirection for a domain, like this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/888203

What I'd like to know: when removing a user from an organizational unit with folder redirection, is data copied from the server back to that user's local folder? From what I understand, when moving a user account from a OU with folder redirection to an OU without, the data is moved from the server to that user's corresponding local folder.

The option on the GPO with folder redirection to Redirect the folder back to the local userprofile location when policy is removedsetting seems like it will copy data back from the server to the local user profile. If this is the case, this is not what I want.

Our site uses shared user accounts in certain departments. Folder redirection was enabled in error on Application Data for some of these shared user accounts, so we now have conflicting App Data files from different clients that were using the same shared user account. This is a mess!

Ideally, I'd like to undo the redirection and revert to using local Application Datawithout loading everything from the server share back to the local user profile.I want to revert to exactly the way things were before the bad GPO was deployed.

I much appreciate the help!
