Hi All,
Thanks for helping with my questions. For the longest time I've been running Active Directory, File Services, and DNS in a virtual Windows Server 2008 R2. The server is configured for Group Policies and there is one policy for Folder Redirection, which allows any user to log in to any of the computers and get the same files and the same experience. The computers have Offline Files enabled.
I migrated my computers to Windows 8 Pro just recently. I noticed that when you connect to any network (wireless, or ethernet) the computer attempts to elevate access. It prompts for administrator password. It still connects to the network. I can either authenticate or cancel, it does not change anything. It keeps prompting for password if you disconnect and re-connect. Before I moved to Windows 8, the implementation was running seamlessly. I was running Windows 7 Ultimate and never got prompt for password for connecting to a network. I haven't changed anything on the server. It started happening as soon as I joined them to the domain.
If anybody out there has an idea or knows the answer I would truly appreciate it.
Thanks.
