We recently installed a new Windows XP workstation into our domain. The workstation was created in our 10.x.x.x subnet location and my domain account was able to login just fine. But, when we transported the workstation to the other subnet on our domain, it does not allow my domain account to login. However, if I login to the workstation using the local administrator account, I can ping to the other subnet; I can remote desktop to servers and workstation on the other subnet. It's just that I can not use my domain account.
One thing that did happen is that the workstation was created using SCCM image build and was initially introduced into the 10.x.x.x subnet where the first login occurred. A little while later, we experienced a problem with some vbscript errors and suspected that the workstation may need to be rebuilt so it was removed from AD. However, we discovered the problem and cleared it up so we didn't need to do a rebuild. We shutdown the workstation and relogged in and saw that using AD users and computers the workstation showed up....but, when I go to each of the two DCs we have, I see the workstation on only one of the DCs. I tried to force replicate but the workstation still does not show up.
How can I resolve the problem? I am thinking it must have something to do with the workstation being removed from Active Directory.
