We have the default domain Policy setup with a password expiration of 60 days. It was decided to change the password expiration for students to 180 days.
I have setup a FGPP with an expiration date of 180 days & set this to 3 security groups for our students. If I check a student user in AD administrative centre what password result is the policy I have setup shows. If I check a member of staff no password policy shows (they will get the default domain policy).
If I login to a machine under the test student account & run 'Net user (TestStudent) /domain' the excperation date is 60 days which is the default domain policy. I have read the FGPP should take prescedence over the default domain policy but dosent seem to be working.
any ideas?
