Hi all,
in our organization we have multiple dc's in multiple sites in one domain.
my issue is on my main site where the fsmo holder is.
i recently upgraded my domain controllers from 2003 to 2012 but for some compatibility issues (Linux SMB version should be upgraded soon) i left one temp 2003 dc, so now i have at this site DC1 (2012 R2 Fsmo), DC2 (2012 R2) and DC3 (2003 SP2).
I am trying to apply some GPO settings: Computer Configuration --> Security Settings --> Local Policies --> User Rights Assignment --> Log on as a batch job.
What we notice is there is some computers not getting the change of the GPO, so i start to investigate it.
What i discovered is when computer is logged to DC3 (checked it with "set l" command in cmd) the GPO is not applied but when i relogon and my LOGONSERVER has changed to one of the 2012 DC's it getting the GPO update.
Can someone please explain the cause of it, and what can i do until i demote the 2003 DC??
