I have several computers that will drop connection from my DC (which is also my DNS, DHCP server) every week at the same time for exactly one hour
and then they reconnect by themselves. This happens every Thursday from 10:15-11:15 and Friday from 11:15-12:15. This seems significant to me. I can ping other servers and workstations (by IP address) but I cannot ping my DC. This lasts for exactly
one hour. I have tried rebooting the pcs, flushing dns, releasing and renewing IP, I have even tried restarting DHCP and DNS services on the server. I estimate about 40 of the 130 pcs appear to lose their connection. If there are more, they haven't complained.
My computer never loses connection. All pcs are Windows 7, my domain is Server 2008R2 and I only have one DC.
I am also experiencing a backup issue, but I'm not sure this is related, could be something totally different but figured I'd put it in here just in case they are possibly related. Backup Exec error:
Errors:
Directory C:\Windows\SYSVOL\sysvol\sja.local\DO_NOT_REMOVE_NtFrs_PreInstall_Directory was not found, or could not be accessed.
Exceptions:
Backup- Shadow?Copy?Components
VSS Snapshot warning. File F:\RemoteInstall\Setup\*.* /s is not present on the snapshot.
Backup- System?State
VSS Snapshot warning. File c:\windows\system32\drivers\dtsoftbus01.sys is not present on the snapshot.
Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.
