how to properly set permissions on a network share that stores user profiles

Hi

I have stored the user profiles on a network share but when I test it; users can login with no problems but when they log out I get the error that says the profile can not be updated.

The network share is a partition on a windows 7 machine. The partition is shared with the following permissions:

On the network share under the "Sharing Tab" and "Advance Sharing" , "Permissions" I have set up the following:

Everyone: Change, Read

Authenticated Users: Full Control

Local Machine/Administrators: Full Control

The partition is NTFS and the computer does not belong to any domain (e.g workgroup).

I had to also turn off password protected sharing to successful login inside "Network and Sharing Center".

I also enabled the following group policy on the computer users are trying to login form:

Computer Configuration--> Administrative Templates-->System--> UserProfiles: Do not check for user ownership of roaming profile Folders.

On the network share under the "Security Tab" I have the following:

Creator Owner: (No ticks come up, even though I tick on Full control and then Apply.)

Authenticated Users: Full Control

SYSTEM: Full Control

Local Machine\Administrators: Full Control

Local Machine\Users: Read & Execute, List Folder Contents, Read.

Can somebody please tell me what I am missing?

Many thanks
