While logged on to a Windows 2008 server in single domain forestA, when I do a management task such as setting permissions on a folder, I am prompted for credentials. Wireshark shows that bind requests are going out to an untrusted domainB in forestB.
I have a two-way trust between forestA and domainA of forestB. I see no coorelation between the task that I am doing and this untrusted domain. In Windows Explorer, when I open the dialog box to set permissions, what bind processes are happening and
why would it try to go to untrsuted domains in other forests?
