Why need to reset computer account in AD?

If a computer's password is not the same in a computer and DC, I need to rejoin computer to domain.

Before rejoining domain, some book suggests resetting computer account before doing this.

But I can rejoin computer to domain without resetting computer account and then I can use computer to logon to domain. So why is resetting computer useful before rejoining to domain?
