Hi Gurus,
we are experiencing the following problem. I would really appreciate your help. Our environment looks like below.
A.com <-- Cross Forest Two Way Transitive Trust -->
B.com
(w2k3R2 Domain) (w2k8R2 Domain)
|
| *Single Sing On *
child.A.com
(User Objects)
(Computer Objects, XP, Wyse clients)
(W2K3R2 FAX SERVER) -->> MOVED TO -->> B.com
Problem Description :
We have moved our Fax Server from the child.A.com domain to B.com . Now, if the clients tries to access the faxserver share
\\faxserver\share they are prompted to provide their credentials and afterwards they are able to access the share. Providing
the credentials is an unwanted behaviour. As described above we have a cross forest two way transitive trust and SSO.
If they tries to access the share via the IP \\192.168.1.100 they are able to access the share without providing their
credentials.
Does someone know how we would able to access the share via the name \\faxserver\share without providing the clients
credentials.
I would really appreciate your input.
With kind regards,
Cengiz Kuskaya
