Active Directory does not exist or cannot be contacted

I have just upgraded my Server from Windows Server 2008 R2 to Windows Server 2012 and I get the following error after I have installed AD DS "Active Directory does not exist or cannot be contacted" I have uninstall and reinstalled the OS with no luck and keep getting this error. I think this is a DNS issue, but I am unsure and can not resolve this issue. Has someone seen this before and able to resolve?
