So I just installed 2012 AD DS. I noticed when I went to nslookup that the server showed up as Unknown:, so I checked out the DNS. It seems that AD DS does not create reverse lookup zones automatically? So I have a few questions related to this.
When I create one as long as I set it up to do dynamic updates will AD DS populate them automatically? Is anything else needed?
Next in my situation I have a lot of DHCP ranges throughout different buildings etc. Do I need to create a zone for each part of the range? Example below..
10.3.10.in-addr.arpa
10.3.11.in-addr.arpa
10.3.12.in-addr.arpa etc etc etc
Can I just create a 10.in-addr-arpa to take care of all 100 ranges or will I need to manually create all 100 reverse zones?
