I need to switch Windows 2003 DHCP server to Windows 2008 R2 DHCP server for about 20 people. All DHCP options are configured on Windows 2008 R2 server and DHCP service has been stopped on the Windows 2003 server. But, users will not get new
DHCP addresses from the new server. I manually run ipconfig /renew
and I got " unable to contact your DHCP server. Request has timed out." The scope is different for both DHCP servers. If I turn on Windows 2003 DHCP server, ipconfig /renew is fine.
How can I get users to get IPs from the new Windows 2008 R2 DHCP server?
Thank you.
