I have a weird question I can't find the answer to. At my house I'm running a 2008 R2 domain with 2 domain controllers. I'm selling the house and need to be out within the next 3 weeks however I wont be moving into another house for about 3-4 months (maybe longer if the contractors have their way). Where I'll be staying in the short term I wont be able to setup the network due to the lack of environmental controls and the noise pollution.
I know a single DC can't be away from the network for X amount of time (I'm forgetting the time frame at this very moment), but what if all the DC's were removed for the same amount of time? In my 20 years of Server administration I've never had to power down an entire network for 3-4 months. Can anyone suggest a course of action?
