nslookup issues when primary domain is shutdown (Preferred DNS can not fail over to Alternate DNS )

Hi,

I have configure primary DC and additional DC with DNS  type is Active directory Integrated.

Primary DC

Hostname: TMSV0001

IP address: 192.168.10.30

Preferred DNS 192.168.10.30

Alternate DNS: 192.168.10.31

-----------------------------------------------

Additional DC

Hostname: TMSV0002

IP address: 192.168.10.31

Preferred DNS: 192.168.10.31

Alternate DNS: 192.168.10.30

------------------------------------------------------

Other Clients or Servers DNS configure as below

Server with using fix IP, clients using  DHCP

Preferred DNS: 192.168.10.31

Alternate DNS: 192.168.10.30

------------------------------------------------------

Here is my problem:

1. When i shutdown the additional DC (192.168.10.31), i try to run nslookup in my client or server, it will giving below this  result but if i'm try to ping with host name is OK. By default when one of the DNS server down it will automatically change to alternate DNS server?

For DNS setting in TMSV0001, i have delete the root hint and add the forwarder point to ISP DNS and Additional DC IP (TMSV0002).

For DNS setting in TMSV0002, I not delete the root hint because it will auto replicate from TMSV0001 DNS server right? And Forwarder it can not replicate from my TMSV0001 settings so i have manually add in TMSV0001 in my TMSV0002 DNS forwarder.

I wander i configure root hint and forwarder or other setting in one of the DSN server will it auto replicate to other DNS server as my DNS is active directory integrated??
