I have a server that I want to do a D2 non authorative restore to get SYSVOL replicating from the master DC. The problem is that I am using DFS NTFRS to replicate large files and folders to this server over a slow WAN link and I fear that a D2 will reset file and folder replication as well (it took 4 weeks for initial replication to complete).
Can I do a SYVOl non authorative restore without affecting the file and folder replication?
Can I disable the referral target, do the D2 and once SYSVOL replicates re-enable the referral target?
