Greetings, we have two-way forest trusts between our domain and a few companies we have aquired and host VDI for. We utilize XenDesktop 5.6 which relies heavily on DNS. The Win7 VMs all use static IPs. We use conditional forwaders for each of their domains for forward lookups. Their VDI subnets are reverse zones within our AD integrated DNS. Each reverse zone on our side has a static entry for each VM. This works great but the overhead\extra config is a bit of a pain.
What I would like to do is switch the VMs to DHCP and allow our Internal DNS servers to see the actual parent zones hosted on the clients AD integrated DNS servers. What would be the best way to achieve this, stub, secondary or maybe a delegation? We are connected via ISPEC VPN tunnels so it would be nice to keep replication to a minimal. But I also want to ensure the Citrix servers can always resolve A\PTR records of the VMs and vice-versa in the most efficient manner as both are crucial to VM registration in Citrix.
Thanks!
