Server 2012 - Unable to Connect Clients to Domain

This is my first post to these forums.  Before it is asked, yes I did a search, and all of the related issues I found are not this issue, due to all reported issues being directly related to issues with virtual environments.  This is a physical, not virtual, environment issue so I started a new post.  I appreciate your understanding.  Also, I am not a college grad with IT background.  I am an average computer user who volunteered to try to accomplish a task for a non-profit agency that cannot afford to hire professional help, so PLEASE bear with me in my lack of knowledge here.  I'd really appreciate that.

I managed to configure and test a trial copy of Server 2012 Standard Edition successfully on my home network, and had it set up precisely as we wanted the network at the organization, and I had logged every step I took to setting up this network simulation in a virtual environment.  With the tests successful, the organization purchased a license for Server 2012 Standard and we installed it on a Dell PowerEdge 2950 that was donated to us for this purpose.  I installed Server 2012 from scratch using this license.

However, following my precise steps from the cirtual test environment, I have run into a huge issue which is rendering my entire setup completely useless, and I am hoping that someone out there can assist me in curing this ASAP, as I wish to have this organization up and running before the end of the week.  They are very patient, but I am looking like a fool as I told them “Yes, the network tested out and I can have it running in no time”, only to set it up then have to tell them this morning “Uh . . . I goofed and I have no clue what’s going on.”

My issue is this:  I cannot connect ANY clients to the domain.  When I try to connect the client to the domain, the client gives two errors:

When connecting to Christlife.net (which is what I did make the domain as when setting up in Server 2012):

An Active Directory Domain Controller (AD DC) for the domain “Christlife.net” could not be contacted.  Ensure that the domain is typed correctly.  If the name is correct, click Details for troubleshooting information.”

I clicked Details and it gaveerror code 0x0000251D DNS_INFO_NO_RECORDS with a description of “No records were found for given DNS query”.  The query was for the SRV record for _ldap._tcp.dc._msdcs.christlife.net

I then tried joining without the .net, entering just christlife for the domain.  This time it immediately asked me for credentials, to which I entered my username and password for the server.  After a bit of a delay, it finally comes up with the following error:

The following error occurred attempting to join the domain “christlife”: The network path was not found.”

The domain exists.  AD DS is set up.  I have DNSand DHCP installed.  I have the server assigned by the router to a static IP and that static IP is configured on the local adapter.  At the risk of making this a long post, here are the troubleshooting steps I have taken:

In the Ethernet Properties:

Next on the Client and Server side I tried nslookup:

//BEGIN PASTE CLIENT NSLOOKUP//

> set type=all
> _ldap._msdcs.christlife.net

Non-authoritative answer:
_ldap._msdcs.christlife.net     internet address = 50.63.202.68
>

//END PASTE CLIENT NSLOOKUP//

//BEGIN PASTE SERVER NSLOOKUP//

C:\Users\Administrator>nslookup
Default Server:  localhost
Address:  ::1

> set type=all
> _ldap._tcp.dc._msdcs.christlife.net
Server:  localhost
Address:  ::1

_ldap._tcp.dc._msdcs.christlife.net     SRV service location:
          priority       = 0
          weight         = 100
          port           = 389
          svr hostname   = server.christlife.net
server.christlife.net   internet address = 192.168.0.125

I am now at a loss as to where to proceed from here.  Does anyone have any advice at all?  I tried Google search, but every other issue I see people reporting has to do with VM environments.  This is not a VM environment any longer.  This is now a physical server with a physical real network.  It was odd that I got it to work in a virtual environment and not in a real environment.  I would have thought I would have had issues the other way around.

I thank anyone in advance for any assistance.
