We are adding a new web-based application that will be hosted on one of our servers and accessed only by our own employees.
This product (Web Help Desk) is SAML compliant for using SSO
We understand that ADFS is SAML capable so we are looking at setting up ADFS to facilitate SSO for this new application.
We ahve never set something like this up before so we need some real basic how-to instruction on installing and configuring this tool.
Let me re-iterate, the new app will be hosted on our own server and will be accessed only by our own employees. We will not be using this to access any external applications and no external customers will be accessing the app.
What are the bare-bones steps we need to follow to install and configure ADFS?
Also, is it possible to install and run ADFS on the same server we will be using to host the application, or does ADFS need to run on it's own server?
Any help at all will be greatly appreciated.
