I have a couple of issues which I believe are related. To set the stage, we recently added 3 new 2008 R2 domain controllers to an existing 2003 domain. That part worked fine. PDC rolls have been transferred to one of the new DC's at the main office. We waited a couple of weeks for any issues, etc.
This week (Monday) I decommissioned that last 2 2003 domain controllers via dcpromo. I also raised the Forest/Domain to 2008 R2.
Since I have done that, we have started to have the following issues:
1) Offering Remote Assistance - we can no longer offer remote assistance like we could before. We have the GPO setup for it. We only have one Forest/one domain.
2) Remote Desktop - when I connect to 2 of the domain controllers I get a certificate error (the identity of the remote computer could not be verified). This just started. However when I connect to the 3rd DC I do not get this error.
I am thinking I may need to reboot all the domain controllers, starting with the PDC.
Any other suggestions? I have been searching this online, but cannot find a solution that matches our setup.
FYI - Our clients are Windows 7 pro with SP1. Domain Controllers are 2008R2 Standard.
