this is a bit random but i was wondering if it is possible to inport an existing domain into a new domain
I.E. currently i'm running several 2003 domains but we are looking to go to 2012 domains (via a brief stop over on 2008 if we have to)
the main corporate domain is "corporate.companyname.com"
we also have several other domains providing application to third parties and for development networks.
what we would like to do is create "companyname.com" as a top level parent domain then import "corporate.companyname.com" as a child domain the app and development domains can be recreated with ease so there is no need to import those but the corporate one is massive.
we would like to end up with a structure like
Companyname.com
-----corporate.Companyname.com
-----development.Companyname.com
-----Apps.Companyname.com
the reason for this is so we can have tighter control over the various domains and have fewer management accounts.
