Hello.
At work I have a Windows Server 2003 based domain (all the controllers are under Windows 2003, but domain level is 2000). Recently, a Windows Server 2008R2 controller was introduced to the domain. Around that time problems with users failing to authorize on Squid proxy server started to appear. Squid admins claim that it was caused by changes to domain authorization mechanics, associated with adding new 2008r2 controller. Can you please clarify whether installing 2008r2 domain controller to 2003 domain and all the required modifications (domainprep, forestprep etc) could potentially cause the aforementioned problem or modify the way users authorize on dc in any way?
