I am not sure this is right place to post this NIS on windows server 2008 post or not, please suggest if wrong
We have current setup like:
We have Windows Server 2003 R2 (AD) with SFU and REDHAT server as NIS server and in that there are auto.master and auto.home for auto mounting home directory and few other shared folders, same red hat server we are using for UNIX server authentication
Now we are planning to do like same using Windows Server 2008 R2 server and wanted to remove red hat server dependency
But challenge is I am not able to create auto.home and auto.master map on Windows NIS server for auto mounting home directories
I don't want to migrate NIS maps/data from existing server
Can you please suggest in windows server 2008 NIS how I can do auto.master and auto.home for auto mounting home directories and shared folder
