Im studying the textbook “MCTS 70-640 Configuring Windows Server 2008 Active Directory Self-Paced Training Kit”. I’m on page 425, Step 13. After I enter the information and click Next>, I get the message “An active directory domain controller for the domain treyresearch.net could not be contacted”.
I checked the network properties for SERVER10 and it shows “treyresearch.net”.
I checked the network properties for SERVER20 and it shows “unidentified network”
I’m using Oracle VirtualBox to host these virtual machines (VM) with, but I think that that part is configured properly.
**** How can I verify that these VMs are able to see each other? ****
Neither machine appears in the Network of the other when viewed with the Explore window.
