Hi, within our domain we have 4 Domain Controllers (3 x 2008 R2 and 1 x 2003) we are trying to demote the 2003 server but when we run dcpromo we get an error saying that it is the last domain controller in the domain. The exact error is:
The box indicating that this is the last domain controller for the domain * is unchecked. However, no other Active Directory domain controllers for that domain can be contacted.
Do you wish to proceed anyway?
If you click yes, any active directory changes that have been made on this domain controller will be lost.
Any help would be great, any more info required i will be happy to provide it.
