weird AD replication issues

Hi All,

I've recently taken over a network from a previous admin. Site was running a single 2003 Std SP2 DC. We've just got a new server and I've chucked 2008 r2 on it, installed hyper-v, and created a 2008 r2 VM and ran DCPromo and joined it to the domain (after running the preps on the 2003DC, of course!)

I ran dcdiag on the new DC (the 2008 r2 vm) and found there its having issues connecting to the netlogon share. I also noticed that on the new DC the SYSVOL folder is empty.

Also getting a few errors in the logs:

Event ID 1058 (unable to read from policies in sysvol... I assume because it's not there as SYSVOL doesn't seem to be replicating)

Event ID 5706 (netlogon cant create "scripts" folder; cannot find specified file)

Event ID 1014 (name resolution timeout for dns.msftncsi.com)

Event ID 24 (NTP client no valid response)

I've been asking Dr. Google, but I've not been able to turn up anything conclusive. It seems like there is a bit of a S*#$ storm on the new DC but cant pinpoint what the root cause is.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Cheers!
