process for determining domains in an AD forest

Good day,

Thanks for taking the time to look at my issue. 

I am trying to determine what domains are in an AD forest.

I need to determine if domains are in their own Forest or part of the same forest.

Currently, when I look at the Active Directory Domains And Trusts Console, I see a child domain that is part of a root domain. from another domain controller running Active Directory Domains And Trusts Console I see another domain listed. In total three domains trying to determine if they are part of the same forest, or if the child and root domain are in one forest and the third domain is in another forest.
