I'm sure
you have been asked very similar questions to this one, so I hope this will be
a quick one for you. <o:p></o:p>
We are
using VMware view 5.0 in a linked-clone state, but every 30 days the password
for the workstation expires (as expected) and causes group policy to fail etc.
as we use folder redirection and essentially lock down the system, we are
having to rebuild the primary image before the workstation password expires. <o:p></o:p>
We are in
the middle of trying to figure out why VMware view is not resetting the password
(as it says it does this), but for the time being we would like to complete a
work around and change the workstation password from 30 days to 90 days to buy
more time before having to redo the image.<o:p></o:p>
I guess my
Question therefore is: <o:p></o:p>
1. How
unsecure is it to change from 30 to 90 days? And in general what's the chances
of a breach in security?<o:p></o:p>
Or<o:p></o:p>
2. Has
anyone else had issues with VMware view 5.0 that knows the fix which would
essentially allow us to keep the workstation password
policy at its default?<o:p></o:p>
