Hello,
I have a small business network with three branch locations connected with an MPLS network.
The branch locations take forever to see file shares and for password authentication because of the distance to the domain controller.
I am deploying a domain controllers at each branch locations. They are all still in the root forest structure FQDN: smallbusiness.local
I think I need to create a volume shadow copy or something so the file shares are also replicated on the additional domain controllers.
I am not making these RODC because there is very low risk.
1. DNS lookup is slow right now because they are looking at the main office for DNS.
Should I set these up as secondary DNS servers or point to some off-site DNS site like open DNS or the ISP DNS?
2. I have never used volume shadow copy, is it the best approach to distribute file shares among the branches?
