In my company I have Windows Server 2008 R2 forest/domain functional level with AD-integrated DNS. Recently we started to implement new core banking software so in every branch location we had to place "cache client" (windows 7 pro with sp1) which other clients in branch location use thus keeping WAN traffic as low as possible. Every "cache client" has A record in DNS and also we manually created CNAME records xxyyCACHE which point to cache clients FQDN.
Last week I received many emails from users which complained that they had trouble in core banking software related to cache client - cache client was not accessable. The reason was missing A records for cache clients - those A records simply disappeared. We are not using scavenging at all so something very wrong is happening here.
Thanks in advance!!!
