DES encryption on widnows 2008 R2 Standard edition

Hi

I have one Spengo/Java application for which I need to enabled DES encryption in my domain on all DCs to get the Kerberos authentication and can access the SSO (single sign On)

I have gone through the below MS article for the same.

I want to confirm from you big shots that After enabling DES encryption, is this make any impact on other application ?
