remote desktop service profile tab under ADUC dialog box

hi... i am new to Active directory ...i have dc1,client1,dc2  virtual machines .i am under training in active directory.They(office people) want me to know what, why, remote desktop service profile tab does ? and  i set the path for terminal service tab ... To make the terminal profile  shared folder  updated which machine i do login and what i do ... and how ?  Thanks in advance
