The issue: Changes made to a user object location in the forest take a long time to replicate to domain controllers. Specifically, if a user object is moved from OU=test,dc=zone1,dc=domain,dc=com to OU=test2,dc=zone1,dc=domain,dc=com. A universal group in dc=zone2,dc=domain,dc=com will not reflect the change for a day or more. Now, a global catalog server in the same domain (dc=zone2) knows about the change immediately.
The network between all of the domains in the forest is very fast with plenty of capacity. None of the replication tools show any errors.
How can I track down why things are so slow to update?
Is there a way to track down where a DC is getting information from for universal groups?
Thanks,
Chris
