We have 2 sites in our domain and I don't think it is doing us any good. All subnets are within one campus and we had, at one time, separated one subnet out as it has the most traffic because of many computer classrooms in the building.
I've made the decision that this is causing more harm than good for several reasons. Not the least of which is the fact that there is only one dc in this site that makes the majority of the Auth requests,....
Anyway, my problem is that I tried moving the DC and the subnet into our main site and after doing, all of my VDI desktops lost the trust relationship with the domain.
Looking for suggestions for gracefully removing the unwanted site. Is demoting the DC better than moving it perhaps?
