Secondary IP on a DC/DNS server

Hi.

Today we have a total of five DCs with DNS enabled. i want to decommision my two old servers (xxx.xxx.xxx.20 and 21) and have my clients use the new ones. Sounds easy right.. but no.

All my external clients are on a MPLS network, where they receive their dhcp information from a router, which i unfortunately do not have the capabilities to alter. Ive talked with the ISP, and they are going to charge os between 6.000-8.000$ to make the change on our many locations. Bummer!

So i thought.. can i not  decomission the old DC's and add their IP as a secondary IP on the newer DCs i have. But after reading about multihomed DC's, im having second thoughts if thats a smart route to go?

So anyone got ideas to what can be done? is multihomed an option? or do i need to cough up the cash and have the routers reconfigured to a new set of IPs?
