Migrating to DFS Replication - Prereqs

Hey all, I am working in a Windows 2008R2 functional level AD domain with 37 domain controllers, 17 of them being RODC's. We deployed DirectAccess and came to learn that DA isn't supported when using FRS to replicate SYSVOL. Time to migrate SYSVOL to DFS Replication. I've read the 52 page document on how to do this but am looking for recommendations on any precautionary measures to take before I do this migration. I've run the AD Replication Status Tool a couple of times and it doesn't report any errors. I've checked to make sure there is enough disk space on the DCs to handle the SYSVOL_DFSR folder.  I do a Windows Backup of one of the DCs every night. Any other recommendations?

During the three step migration, you go thru the three states, from Started(0)-->Prepared(1), Prepared(1)-->Redirected(2), Redirected(2)-->Eliminated(3).  In the Redirected state, both the SYSVOL and SYSVOL_DFSR folders are being replicated and the SYSVOL_DFSR folder is what's being used by AD. How long would I normally stay in the Redirected state? Could I stay there for a week to make sure everything works the way it should?

Once I switch to the Eliminated(3) state, is there any post actions I should take in AD?

Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks all.
