Adding new DFS namespace servers

I have three DFS namespace servers running Windows Server 2008 R2. I want to add a new server running Windows Server 2012 R2 to the namespace. Would there be a problem in Windows Server 2012 R2 server co-existing with the 2008 R2 namespace servers?

Also once I add a new Windows Server 2012 R2 namespace server, I want to remove one out of the three 2008 R2 namespace server. What would be the steps for doing the same?
