I have several user accounts in AD that are missing the 'proxy address' attribute and any new user created does not get that attribute. We are in a Windows 2008 R2 domain. This attribute was present for all users previously. I created a new OU to manage some of our offices and after moving several users to one of them and creating new users in others, this was noticed.
We have recently completed a migration to Exchange on line from a Hybrid environment and after removing the Hybrid server and all other items required per MS documentation, we were trying to add some additional e-mail addresses when it was noticed the attribute was missing.
As I mentioned above, the attribute is also not present when we add new users to AD.
Any ideas or instructions on how to get the attribute back for these and future user accounts? We have over 1200 users in AD and this is only impacting about 200 current users.
Thanks,
Nick
