I have come across a very unusual problem. We have a Parent domain with a couple child domains. One of the child domains is setup as an external trust on the Parent domain but the Child domain sees the trust as a parent child relationship. This issue was discovered when we demoted our old 2003 DC's in the process of moving the functional level to 2008R2. <o:p></o:p>
The child also still sees one of the now demoted DC's as being the schema master and the domain naming master. These roles where all moved to the new 2008 DC well in advance of the demotions taking place. This leads me to believe that is also possible that these have not been replicating for some time. <o:p></o:p>
Is there a way to fix the trust by either making it a child trust on both sides or making it an external trust on both sides?<o:p></o:p>
